Physical models of mobile, web, and structured content systems meeting at clear interfaces.

The engagement connected an iOS product with a changing web and content platform. Modernizing the mobile architecture could not be isolated from a migration away from a Ruby backend toward server-side rendering, or from the way structured content moved through GraphQL and Contentful into the customer experience.

My contribution covered modern Swift practices and iOS architecture refactoring, migration work for the new SSR architecture, and a custom Gatsby plugin connecting GraphQL and Contentful. I also automated deployment processes, including internal CocoaPods tooling. The work reinforced that modernization succeeds through deliberate interfaces between systems and teams; replacing technology is only useful when the new boundaries make future change easier to coordinate.
