Modix was my entry into professional software engineering at sixteen. The work combined customer-facing internationalization with internal systems: PHP tooling that dumped schemas and generated ORM accessor classes, and an AJAX drag-and-drop tool for ordering car advertisements before PDF generation.
These were modest tools, but they made the value of leverage tangible. A small piece of software could encode a repeated decision, remove an error-prone handoff, or make an existing workflow easier to understand. That remains one of my durable instincts in consulting: before adding a large platform, look closely at the recurring friction a focused tool might remove.
